This gorgeous family were up for their annual Minnesota lake cabin summer visit. Originally the family wanted to capture their family portraits at their cabin because they would be more memorable, as most of my clients do. Sadly, with all of the rain that we’ve had this summer, not that rain is bad, they lost their beach and didn’t have a good spot to for us to use. They wanted to know where we should go, and I happily recommended Walker City Park.
Sometimes I’ll get clients that really don’t have a good spot to use, or would like me to choose. If my clients are close to Walker, I always recommend Walker City Park. The park has a wonderful beach area and if there aren’t any events scheduled and you go in the evening, typically you’ll get the place almost to yourself. The beach area is gorgeous, and you can’t go wrong with Leech Lake as a breathtaking background. In addition to the beach and lake, the park has the most beautiful big trees which make for an additional backdrop option. Also, if it’s not busy, there’s a beautiful light house as well.
