And I’m quoting this family, “we have low expectations” followed by a giggle. Now, it’s not because they aren’t well versed in taking portraits, nor a reflection how they value them. This session just happens to be a very rare time where the whole entire family got together that has SIX little children under the age of 3.5. If you have children, you know where this is heading. LOL!!!

There was no question that this would be an early morning 9:00am session, in hopes to limit any nap interruptions or melt downs. ;).

As per the usual, starting out the little’s aren’t quite used to me yet. So it’s only fitting they will either smile, or usually it’s the ‘ol dead pan look. From there, we work as fast as we can, but when you have lots of family members, we are also talking about lots of different groupings so the littles can burn out fast.

I have to say.. despite things that can go awry, we captured some AWESOME family portraits and I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way for them. Everyone in this family were some of the coolest people I’ve ever met and worked with. I’m absolutely IN LOVE their images, and was truly blessed to have met them at their family home in Backus, Minnesota!
