If you shop in Walker, you’ve probably walked past it a million times but have you actually stopped in? I’m talking about Mainstream Clothing, more recently you may have noticed their name change to The 513 @ Mainstream. When I moved to Walker 9 years ago, one worry of mine was living soooo far from any good shopping (I am a woman after all, these things are very important). Well, little did I know… right there on main street in Walker, I found a boutique clothing store that offers clothing styles above and beyond my expectations. Every time I visit, I’m always finding unique clothing pieces that I have never seen before and let me tell you, super fashionable!

Owner, Sue Fladeboe, has owned and operated Mainstream since October of 1999. Sue was born and raised in Walker and has a Degree in Fashion Merchandising. Sue isn’t someone that just happened to open a clothing store, she is an educated professional who has been successfully running her Boutique store for over 15 years. Sue began her business by offering women and men’s clothing and then most recently added a Little Dolly section catering to girls aged 5-14. This past winter of 2013 Sue grabbed the retail space next to her and expanded her square footage to create an area that additionally caters styles for Juniors/Misses and Missy.

If you are looking for very unique, contemporary or elegant travel clothing styles, The 513 @ Mainstream is for you. And Ladies, you MUST check out the line of Corral Cowboy Boots that Sue offers, they are TO DIE FOR.

In addition to the recent expansion of her retail space, Sue also found a huge need for Yoga in Walker and created a beautiful Yoga Space which she happily named Yoga Love. For those that are seasoned Yogi’s or if you are just starting out, you’ll find various styles of Yoga offered for all ability levels. She has personally outfitted me in things that I was skeptical about, only to find myself purchasing them because DANG they fit and I looked GREAT and they just so happen to be the best clothing pieces I own! Sue is there to help you, so give her a try.

Summer hours are M-Sat 9:00 – 5:30pm, Sunday 11:00 – 4. Winter hours are Monday-Saturday 10-5, Sunday 10-4.
